Maaskade Viewpoint Gallery
Maaskade viewpoint is a place on the Noordereiland where tourists make photographs of the city, an information board explains the panorama and the people of Rotterdam stare across the water.
The museum research looks at the waste visitors leave behind, selectively collects finds and takes photographs of four parking spots. It is recorded which materials remain and what is removed. Or better what is cared for and what is unloved.
In this way the dynamic and use of a specific spot in the city is reconstructed.
